By the way, I'm picking up several months and one baby later. There are probably a lot of significant things to say about the last several months. As a matter of fact, I know there are, but if I make myself "catch up," I'll never get started. So mid-stream, today I've heard two funny, sweet instances of manners.
4:15 AM: Z is crying. I've just been up thinking EK was waking (false alarm) and go into Z's room where she is crying for her "padas" (paci). It's at the head of her bed where she can't reach. I hand it to her, stroke her hair, and say "here it is, love." She replies in a squeaky voice, "Thank you, mama." I close her door gently.
8:00 AM: D is trying to engage Z in a game of dress-up. "Z, do you want to wear my astronaut costume?" he asks. "NO!" she yells, rather rudely. "No, thank you," he prompts her. "No, thank you," she responds meekly.
